Chelsea Cutler – Scripts (Lyrics / Lyric Video)

i take my medicine at 8pm with water
cause the doctor told me it would be my key couple addys in the morning make me stronger
couple kpins before bed to make me weak i know you gave me hell but you got me so
addicted i cant help but stay missing you
i’m anxious by myself, running through all my prescriptions
i need something else to abuse you were my drug
my only plug doing eighty in my veins
can’t get enough you were my drug
got so caught up now i’m tryna use the last of all your love
i’m taking all the pictures of you off of my walls
i’m rolling up and burning all the evidence no one warned me, no one told me how hard
i’d fall now nothing gets me higher than how low i
been i know you gave me hell but you got
me so addicted i can’t help but stay missing you
i’m anxious by myself, running through all my prescriptions
i need something else to abuse you were my drug
my only plug doing eighty in my veins
can’t get enough you were my drug
got so caught up now i’m tryna use the last of all your love
i know you gave me hell but you got me so addicted
i can’t help but stay missing you i’m anxious by myself, running through all
my prescriptions i need something else to abuse
you were my drug my only plug
doing eighty in my veins can’t get enough
you were my drug got so caught up
now i’m tryna use the last of all your love

  3. Interview with Chelsea Cutler

This week we spoke to rising starlet Chelsea Cutler, who has just signed with Ultra and is set to release some stunning material…

Can you tell us a little bit about how you first got into making music?

My high school had a recording studio for students. Instead of playing a Spring season sport at school, I spent my junior Spring exploring Logic Pro and writing music. And that’s basically how I really started realising how much I loved writing and recording music.

Where do you take most of your influences?

I think a lot of my songwriting and artistic choices come from artists like Bon Iver, The 1975, Odesza… I’ve always loved Bon Iver’s layered vocals, The 1975’s lyrical honesty, and Odesza’s ability to combine organic and electronic sounds. But I really think I’m just constantly finding new influences every day. There are so many amazing artists out there expanding the music scene so I hear new things I like pretty much every day.

What would you say are three tracks you couldn’t live without?

     "You" – The 1975

" Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" – Coldplay

"The Gardener" – The Tallest Man on Earth

Great work on “Wake Up”! Did you enjoy putting this one together?

For sure! It’s such an upbeat, carefree song, so it felt so good making it. Wow, I don’t even really know… I wasn’t planning on reaching out to any labels or working exclusively with one. But Ultra found “Wake Up” on Soundcloud, I think. I never thought a label as successful as Ultra would be in my future, so I was so ecstatic when they reached out. I’m definitely excited for my future with Ultra. In the short time I’ve been with the label, I’ve already felt so much support from the team there.

Cuebrick and Sondr have just remixed “Wake Up” – do you have a favourite out of the two?

Haha, the remixes are both really different and really great in their own ways. I definitely love the vocal chops in the Cuebrick remix, so maybe that one.

What do you have coming next? Anything you can tell us about?

I actually just finished writing a bunch of songs that I am super excited about. So those will probably be on an EP in the coming months. On top of that, I’ve been working on a couple awesome collaborations with some of my favorite producers, like Louis the Child, Whethan, and Kidswaste.

What are your aims as an artist for the next year ahead?

I think my aim is just for my sound to keep evolving and maturing. I’m still young, both in terms of my age and my career, so I have a lot of growing to do still.

  4. So I heard this playing in an advertisement for a video game. It kept playing and I had to search this song up. Heeeey! Lol

  5. My best friend and her bf just broke up after 2 years and it's really affecting me too cause they were together for so long I just got used to him and now they're done and it's weird cause we have so many good memories together. We would always go on "double dates" but me and the other dude never actually dated. And all of those good memories to waste. Because of his insecurities 😡😭. And her room was filled with pictures of all 4 of us together at so many places. It was all so much fun but ig we can't do those things anymore 🙁
